Zoey struggles to adjust to her chaotic new home life, which now includes: A klutzy stepfather.

Initially, Zoey uses the app to make her stepbrothers behave and to give her struggling dance squad an advantage over her rival, Taylor. She eventually realizes that controlling people's behavior doesn't solve her real problems and decides to stop using it. The climax occurs when Taylor steals the phone and uses the app to control the boys at a basketball game, forcing Zoey to find a way to fix the situation without the app's help.
