In the landscape of House M.D. , the philosophy of "everybody lies" is the show's foundational bedrock. Season 4, Episode 10, " It’s a Wonderful Lie ," serves as a seasonal subversion of this mantra. Set against a Christmas backdrop, the episode juxtaposes the festive tradition of "Secret Santa" with a medical case that challenges Gregory House’s cynical worldview through a mother and daughter who claim to never lie to one another.
