The "Favela Vive" series, curated by the Esfinge label, was designed to give a platform to voices directly from the favelas to "expose what many people do not want to see". Unlike previous editions, arrived during a period of intense political tension in Brazil, marked by the execution of councilwoman Marielle Franco and a rise in police operations within residential communities.
